At JLT, we have a highly experienced team that understands the risks faced by power generators and distributors. Our team also has a wealth of knowledge, built up over many years of dealing with major power insurance buyers.

We keep abreast of developments in high tech machinery, in particular large gas turbines. We regularly liaise with and visit the main turbine manufacturers, ensuring that underwriters’ perceptions of prototype technology are realistic, allowing us to obtain the best terms and conditions available.

We have placed the construction and/or operational insurance programmes for some of the world's largest single cycle, combined cycle, nuclear and hydro plants. These placements have spanned the globe from America to Asia and Latin America to Europe.
